Design Story

The composition is smarter than it first looks. Goku faces away, which removes the face as focal point and forces your eye onto the shoulders, the clenched fists, the upswept hair burning against a rust-orange sun disc behind him. Energy reads as jagged brush strokes and splatter rather than clean beams, so the whole frame feels torn rather than drawn. The palette stays disciplined: burnt gold, amber, bone-white on deep black, no competing colours. Japanese lettering flanks both sides like anchor points, holding the chaos in a frame. Then AWAKENING lands across the bottom in cracked, scraped type — heavy enough to stop the energy from spilling off the hem.
