Design Story

The portrait is built from faceted planes of colour rather than clean line art. Hair rises in sharp violet, teal and magenta shards. The armour reads deep cobalt against a pale chest plate, arms folded in that unmistakable posture of someone who has already decided he is right. Behind the figure, vertical orange drips run down like wet paint on a wall, and loose spatter breaks the silhouette at the edges. There is no motion here, no impact, no blast. Just stillness and attitude, which is a harder thing to draw. The warm orange backdrop against the cool blues gives the piece its charge.
